Villa Premiere- Top Luxury Boutique Hotel in Puerto Vallarta

King Bed Master Suite Villa Premiere

I know this word gets tossed around quite a bit in the travel blogging world, but Villa Premiere in Puerto Vallarta is literally our FAVORITE HOTEL we have ever stayed in, globally, to date. This post is going to overflow with photos and info because I am simply in love

We first became enamoured with Villa Premiere in 2015, and are happy to say it's gotten even better.  Top notch service, luxurious extras, and a staff that makes you feel like you are family.

LUXURY MENTIONS: Butler (with MANY perks), pillow menu, scent menu, warm pastries come on a hot slate tile, sunscreen bar at pool, books at pool, L'occtaine toiletries, wonderful presentation of food, real flower in bathroom, harp playing at breakfast, side tables on tanning chairs, live music, themed dinners, welcome massage and champange, turn down service, NO plastic bracelets (they give you a woven mexican style one you can keep), Beach front Bali beds with swings, stocked gym, great spa!

The Room -- Master Suite

The Master Suite at Villa Premiere is 1388 sq ft of pure bliss. Very calming and cool. Updated and renovated to pure excellence.  The terrace is directly above the crashing ocean waves and gives an unobstructed panoramic view of Banderas Bay, and has a Jacuzzi tub!

Inside you have a front hall closet, huge wooden sit-up bar with the BEST mini bar fridge I have ever seen, wine glasses, tea/coffee, dining table and view of the ocean. Living room has seating, lovely decor, Smart TV with Netflix, and another breathtaking view.  Bedroom is separate with closet/dressing room and a big king bed.  Bathroom has corner jacuzzi tub, large walk in shower, and L'occitane amenities.

We stayed in room 2301 for 5 nights (Master Suite) and room 2104 (Spa Suite) for 16 nights in Jan/17. Disclosure: The hotel did not host our stay but did upgrade a portion of it.

Villa Premiere Puerto Vallarta Review:

Firstly, before we get into the hotel review, I want to highlight something very unique about this property.  Trevor and I HATE being trapped in ‘All Inclusive Compounds'. You know, the hotels that make it impossible to walk off the property, are located miles away from everything, and don't give you a glimpse of any culture. We cringe at the thought of pooside beer pong, drinks with neck straps, and incessant ‘Woooooo”ing.

Villa Premiere is the Boutique Hotel that solves all of that.  You can do All Inclusive without the massive property, loud parties, and $50 cab rides into town.  It's only a few stories high, super tranquil, and located steps from the richest culture Puerto Vallarta has to offer. 😉

WHY you would want to stay at Villa Premiere :

  • If you LOVE the small details and luxuries of high end boutique hotels
  • Couples, adult families, quiet seekers, retirees
  • If you want the ability to easily leave a resort and wander
  • If you want the option of having a ‘European Plan' OR ‘All Inclusive Plan'
  • If you like lose rise buildings, stair friendly floors, and everything within a few steps away
  • For the personalized boutique charm and slow placed atmosphere

Check in: Easy and fast. Glass of champagne, bags taken to room, welcome massage, pillow & aromatherapy menu, and visit with concierge

Wifi: HUGE upgrade!  They spent time and money to make a fantastic wifi system that supports streaming and multiple devices, for FREE.

Food: I cannot fathom why any reviewer would say the food is not good. It's delightful!  We stayed here for almost a month and did not tire of it. We did part of our stay AI and part Euro. On the Euro plan, food is very affordable for a hotel!  The food is full of flavour and something I actually miss (which I can't really say about many hotels!)

They also have a ‘Vintage Night' outdoor dinner by the pool with paper lanterns, entire hotel decorated with darling vintage props, a live artist drawing on a canvas, live music playing, all while they bring you a 5 course meal being cooked in front of you.

ROOM SERVICE: They do offer 24 hour room service! (And no charge on the AI plan) We did get breakfast, lunch and dinner up to the room a few times.

Pool: Great temperature.  Chairs are padded with side tables. Calm music. Note: The sun hits around 10:30am

Beach: Small beach area, put semi private because of the location. Great for short walks!

How we booked at the lowest price:

We love this hotel so it was worth doing hours of research to find the lowest price.  We looked everywhere… I mean everywhere! Over the last 14 months we stayed there 3 times, and all 3 we booked through Hotel's Combined.

It always came up about 10%-20% lower than the other major booking engines.

BOOKING TIP: We were super flexible with dates to get the best deal.  Sometimes booking for 10 days instead of 9 can GREATLY increase your rate, so try a few different date and duration combinations HERE  Give it a try yourself 🙂

You can also check the prices for Villa Premiere on Hotels.com, Priceline, and Booking.com

The Amazing Punta Banda Peninsula in Ensenada

If you visit the port city of Ensenada, chances are you are going to be offered a tour to La Bufadora, a famous blowhole located on the Punta Banda Peninsula. For many, La Bufadora has become one of Ensenada’s top attractions.  As a consequence, it is a bit difficult to take off the entire area out of the “tourist trap” list. However, I believe Punta Banda is worth well a visit due to its natural, rugged beauty.  You can find cliff vistas, sea stacks, and small coves.  On a sunny day, the place is just gorgeous. On this article, I want to cover the area from the touristic and non-touristic perspectives.  I’ll let you choose how you want to visit. About Punta Banda Ensenada is located in the Todos Santos (All Saints) Bay.  The southern portion of the bay is delineated by the Punta Banda Peninsula, a finger-like strip of land. Almost at the tip of the peninsula (at the end of the paved road), you are going to find La Bufadora, a feature described as a marine geyser or tidewater bl...

30 Things to do in Nuremberg, Germany: The Ultimate List!

Looking for things to do in Nuremberg, Germany? This list has you covered with everything from the touristy musts to quirkier offbeat finds. Enjoy! I’ll be real: Nuremberg is a place that’s   easy to fall for. This world-famous city, located in the north of Bavaria, is every bit the fairytale dream so often linked to  Deutschland : candy cane half-timbered facades, an epic castle on a hill, dangerously munchable gingerbread, and a glittering Christmas market to boot. But as with most amazing cities, the true magic of Nuremberg comes from its dynamic layers. Lurking beneath those photogenic facades is a dark past intertwined with war, genocide, and centuries of tumultuous history. It is precisely this duality that makes Nuremberg one of the most fascinating cities to visit in Germany, and one that you can keep visiting again and again. So, what is there to do in Nuremberg? It turns out, plenty of things. Below you’ll find a roundup of my favourite things to do in ...

How to do the Kjerag hike, Norway

Planning to do the Kjerag hike and take one of the most incredible pics of your life? You’re on the right page.  Kjerag (the mountain) and Kjeragbolten (the boulder) has became very popular over recent years, especially because of social media, and nowadays thousands of Instagrammers from all over the world come to do the Kjerag hike and get the daredevil no-photoshopped picture. On the top of Kjeragbolten, Norway. After spending one and half day in Olso in the beginning of August of 2015, I took a flight to Stavanger. There are plenty of flights from Oslo to Stavanger, and prices can be as low as 25.00 euros. As I was by myself and not planing to rent a car, I opted for this city as a start point to my hikes in Norway because during the high season there is a bus from Stavanger to Kjerag (Øygardstøl). After a 50min flight, a bus from the airport to Stavanger’s terminal, and a 15min walk I arrived at the hotel. I just checked-in, drooped off my stuff and went to explore ...
