On the train in SwitzerlandI’m on the road again, leaving for the Philippines later today. As usual, I haven’t packed and have no real idea what I’m doing over the next two weeks. Things usually have a way of working themselves out, though, don’t they? Hanoi, Vietnam On this night, we ate snake meat and drank snake blood. We stopped traffic to buy balloons. We drank too much bia hoi and hitched a ride on a treacherous motorbike. We bought chicken sandwiches from a street vendor to whom you spoke Vietnamese. On this night, I thought you were the one for me.
